PoK Girl Apprehended by Army Sent Back to Pakistan Through Chakkan Da Bagh

A girl from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), who was apprehended by security forces earlier this month, was returned to Pakistan through the Chakkan Da Bagh crossing point in Poonch on Wednesday, officials said.An official said the girl, identified as Samiya Azeem, was apprehended by the Army on October 2 and subsequently handed back to Pakistan after completion of the required legal formalities.

The official said the In-Charge of Police Post Lam, accompanied by an escort vehicle, took her to the Chakkan Da Bagh crossing point for her return.

Samiya Azeem is the daughter of Mohammad Azeem and a resident of Bains Gala, Seri, in Tehsil Khuiretta of District Kotli.

Officials did not immediately provide details about the circumstances surrounding her apprehension. Further details are awaited.
